Tragedy

Aranel found herself alone..once again. As her mate had simply vanished,and was not heard from for 5 days now. She escaped Hannah's Ranch to go find him,the separation was killing her. And in turn when Aranel escaped..Hannah was heartbroken. Her favorite mare was gone and so was one of her tops stallions. Aranel,a couple days later..was caught and taken directly to a horse show. Little did her captor know that Aranel was a show horse..and was well known. When she was taken to the ring,everyone froze as they looked at Aranel and the man leading her. Who was this man and where was Hannah?..

Aranel nickered loudly at the people as she was searching for Hannah..or John..or Kate..someone that she knew well. The main judge went on judging the show but kept an eye on Aranel. No one knew what to do..''Call my Master..''thought Aranel..surely one of these humans knew her Hannah.

After about an hour of standing in the hot sun,Aranel had,had enough of her captor and jerked the reins from his hands and trotted off at her top speed. A young cowboy cheered her on as she pranced about,away from the man. Then she bolted into her speed demon gallop as she made her way to the high gate. She was going to jump her way to freedom..and nothing was going to stop her.

When Aranel got close, a young idiotic girl screamed at Aranel..causing her to veer her mind off the jump. Everyone watched to their horror was Aranel jumped too late and caught her back legs on the high gate. Making her do a front flip and landing square on her broad back. Little did the audience know was that Aranel..was expecting a foal. A foal..from Mika.

Hannah was then immediately called as Aranel laid screaming in pain. No one got near her for she was kicking wildly about. Wanting no one to touch her aching belly. Her foal writhed in pain as his dam did,kicks could be seen in Aranels round tummy as she laid panting on her side. Would the foal make it?

Aranels glazed,pain filled eyes looked around as then..suddenly Hannah appeared. Hannah rushed to her and held Aranels large head in her arms. Kissing her face as she made over her lovingly.Then slowly,after she calmed her..she ran her small hands over Aranels belly. The foal responded to Hannahs touch and voice as it knew her. Thank God..the foal looked as if it would make it after all.

Several hours later,Aranel was back at home. Limping about her small paddock as Hannah watched her. Hannah knew what she was going through...John had been away as well. And Mika somehow vanished about a week ago..and there wasnt a trace of him.
Hannah hoped that John and Mika would come back to her soon...she willingly hoped so.
